(9/12/06 - GALVESTON, TX) - Attorneys representing victims of the fatal 2005 BP Texas City refinery blast said they may continue to push for a deposition from BP PLC Chief Executive Lord John Browne.
The deposition would be used in a lawsuit set for trial Sept. 18 in Galveston. It accuses the oil giant of "gross negligence" in the explosion that killed 15 and injured more than 170 people.
Last month, U.S. District Judge Susan Criss ordered Browne and refining chief John Manzoni to give depositions.
