TEXAS CITY — One of the federal agencies investigating the fatal March 23, 2005, explosions at BP’s Texas City refinery is set to release an industry safety bulletin today involving another incident at the facility.
The U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board is scheduled to release a series of recommendations today on how to prevent such incidents.
Four months after a series of explosions ripped through an octane-boosting unit at BP’s largest refinery, a fire at the refinery’s resid hydrotreating unit prompted a shelter-in-place order for the city.
